Technical Vocational Livelihood (TVL)
Industrial Arts Strand (IA)
Industrial Arts? Do the terms ring a bell? Aside from Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Home Economics (HE), and Agri-Fishery Arts, the Industrial Arts strand is also being offered under Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track. Industrial Arts, commonly referred to as Education Technology, is a strand that engages students to develop an adequate knowledge about industrial society and be familiar with practicing technical design using different equipment, tools, and machines to strengthen their manual and technical skills. Such skills are crucial in the field of industry jobs namely: carpentry, automotive services, electronics, plumbing, welding, and so much more! In modern society, exposure to a variety of technologies through studying this field improves the understanding of the industrial and engineered world, as well as its demand. Without Industrial Arts, there will be no such thing as machines and tools that are used in the production of more laborsaving devices and even goods.
